Badges

You might have seen some nice green badges in your favorite GitHub repository, indicating whether the tests associated with the code passed or not. Adding these to the README.md is straightforward enough:

• The first badge is provided by Travis CI, which you can read more about in the documentation.

• The second is provided by RubyGems. You’ll notice on your gem’s page a badge link, which provides the required code and format (in this case, in Markdown format).

  

• The third is provided by Coveralls. When you visit your repository page in the Coveralls application, you’ll see a link to README badge; from there, you can select the relevant format.
